PROJECT OVERVIEW
The product:
Mass Theater in Boston offers a diverse lineup of events for all ages, including private gatherings, concerts, and kid-friendly performances. Visitors can enjoy unique memorabilia from the mini-shop and delicious meals at the in-house restaurant, creating a complete entertainment experience. As a family-friendly venue, Mass Theater provides a safe, welcoming atmosphere and has become a staple of Boston’s cultural scene.
Project duration:
March to April 2022
My role:
UX designer / UX researcher
Problem:
The previous website suffered from poor UX, lacked responsiveness, and had a slow, inefficient checkout process.
Goal:
Create an attractive, fully responsive website with intuitive navigation and a streamlined, user-friendly checkout experience.
Responsibilities:
I conducted user interviews and designed paper and digital wireframes, as well as low- and high-fidelity prototypes. Through multiple usability studies, I iterated on the designs and ensured accessibility best practices were integrated throughout the process.
USER RESEARCH
Summary: I interviewed Mass Theater visitors and developed empathy maps to capture their needs. The primary user group included frequent takeout customers aged 21–60. My focus was to test whether users could complete core tasks on the responsive website prototype and to evaluate the overall usability of the mobile app.
Problem Statement
Dennis is an art student and a huge movie fan who needs quick orders and navigation. He would also like some promotions or member discounts.
SItemap
I have created the sitemap as simply as it was possible. Easy navigation and checkout are very important and crucial for this project.

HI-FI Prototype
The high-fidelity prototype followed the same user flow as the low-fidelity prototype, including design changes made after the usability study.
